Position Overview:

Calibre Search is excited to collaborate with a global leader in Design Engineering, engaging in a variety of projects throughout the UK.

Their clientele includes major entities such as HS2, Network Rail, National Highways, and various Local Authorities, with project designs spanning from strategic planning and feasibility studies to detailed design and construction oversight.


Role Responsibilities:

To enhance their capability in delivering sustainable drainage solutions that safeguard communities and infrastructure from flooding, they are in search of a seasoned drainage expert to join at the Associate level.

This role will be based in a vibrant office environment, where the national Water Engineering team, recognized as technical leaders in the industry, promotes a proactive, responsible, and collaborative work culture.


Key Duties Include:

  • Leading the execution of diverse civil engineering projects, including highway, rail, infrastructure, and site development initiatives.
  • Overseeing project delivery from initial concept through to completion, ensuring high technical standards, timely execution, and commercial viability.
  • Demonstrating a proven history of delivering a wide array of drainage services for significant transport and infrastructure projects.
  • Managing client relationships and participating in client progress meetings.
  • Supervising a team of drainage engineers, facilitating their technical growth and ensuring appropriate project resourcing.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with extensive experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions, possessing a comprehensive understanding of drainage design principles and infrastructure management.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow software is essential, along with a solid grasp of relevant technical standards, UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice, and Health & Safety regulations.


Work Environment:

While this position is primarily office-based, the company offers a hybrid working policy, allowing for flexibility to work from home while also collaborating in contemporary office spaces across the UK.
