**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Therapy Technician to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Therapy Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting patients to regain or maintain their independence through therapeutic intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with a wide range of needs, working alongside qualified therapists to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Engage in training and developmental opportunities for yourself and others, including students, to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care and therapy services.
- Participate in a 7-day working pattern and bank holiday working, according to rosters, to ensure seamless delivery of patient care across our acute services.
Requirements
- Either have experience as an OT/PT technician/assistant, or equivalent experience working in a healthcare, education, or customer-facing setting.
- Have the flexibility to participate in 7-day working pattern and bank holiday working, according to rosters.
- Have experience of working in a team and alone, with the ability to stay calm and make appropriate decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Expressed desire to work within Therapies at UHS, with a strong understanding of NHS systems and processes.
Desirable Skills
- IT skills, e.g., using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to support administrative tasks and data analysis.
