Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Therapy Technician to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of our large Therapy services department, supporting patients who are in, or have been in, intensive care or high-care ward environments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support patients in stepping down from high levels of supervision to a daily routine
  • Manual handling, mobilising patients, and helping with transfers
  • Restoring function, supporting emotional wellbeing, and assessing for and fitting equipment
About the Role

This is a rewarding role that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will work as part of a combined therapy services team delivering patient care across a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays.

Person Specification
  • Level 4 diploma in a health or social care subject or equivalent level of experience
  • Relevant experience working in a healthcare, education, or customer-facing setting
  • Demonstrates the ability to acknowledge changes in the patient's physical/psychological needs and manage as appropriate
