We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Senior Advanced Therapy Practitioner to join our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Emergency Department (ED) therapies team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to work closely with our integrated therapy team and multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high-quality therapy service.

You will be responsible for working as part of a team delivering a therapy service from 8am to 6pm across a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays, allocated on a roster basis.

As a Senior Advanced Therapy Practitioner, you will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge through our in-service training and contribute to improving patient care and experience.

The successful candidate will be part of a large department of over 290wte Therapy staff, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the therapy team to provide prompt therapy assessments and implement frailty care pathways.
  • Facilitate appropriate discharges, admission avoidance, complex equipment needs, and cognitive assessments alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
  • Contribute to the development of new skills and knowledge through in-service training and professional development.
