Senior Clinical Fellow in Renal Transplant Surgery

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Fellow to join our Renal Transplant Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Consultant Renal Transplant Surgeons, Clinical Fellows, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing renal transplantation and other surgical procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) requiring vascular access or peritoneal dialysis, and work up for renal transplantation.
- Participate in in-patient and day case operating lists, providing surgical care to patients with renal failure.
- Provide care to renal transplant in-patients, including post-operative management and follow-up.
- Attend and present at multidisciplinary meetings, including transplant listing, vascular access, histopathology, radiology, and review of deceased-donor offers.
- Participate in audit and governance activities, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.

Person Specification- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) or equivalent
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust's Values
- Significant experience as a Senior House Officer (SHO) or equivalent
- Previous exposure to transplantation (desirable)
- Proof of previous research experience (publications/presentations)
- Attendance on ATLS, CRISP, and BST courses
- Interest in a career in transplantation
