Accounts Payable Reconciliations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team at Dow Jones & Company, Inc. as a key member of our Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor discount opportunities and ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Review aged creditor reports and clear outstanding credits and unpaid invoices.
- Daily reconciliation of invoice interfaces.
- Review of all applicable invoices to determine correct application of non-resident withholding tax.
- Regular review and analysis of vendor spend reports to identify costs that can be pushed over to Purchase Orders.
- Assist with gathering document support for financial audits.
- Prior experience with SAP is beneficial, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
