About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker on Radipole Ward at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality individualized care to patients, relatives, and carers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist registered nursing staff in providing high-quality individualized nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives, and carers.
  • Assist the multidisciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge.
  • Participate in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients.

About the Ward

Radipole Ward is a 33-bedded ward where the friendly ward team provides a high standard of care for the local population. This ranges from rehabilitation for patients after surgery to end of life care, for which we have recently been awarded Platinum Accreditation.

Working Arrangements

We are flexible and accept part-time applications with a minimum of hours. We have a variety of flexible family working patterns, and shift patterns will be discussed at interview. Weekend and public holidays are worked at enhanced pay.
