Job Summary
This role is part of the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group's commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing administrative support to clinical teams, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Assisting with patient care, including basic care tasks and supporting patients with complex needs.
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with patients, families, and carers.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills and proficiency in using electronic patient records.
- Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to deliver high-quality patient care.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in healthcare or a related field would be advantageous, as would completion of the Care Certificate.
