Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to join our team as a Respiratory Patient Pathway Coordinator. This role is a key part of our Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to our clinical team.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing a full administrative service to the clinical team, including audio typing and communication with patients and stakeholders.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for patient queries and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Working closely with the clinical team to ensure the smooth running of patient pathways and administrative processes.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of using full range of IT/Patient administration systems.
  • Experience of patient administration work in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written, communication, and audio typing skills.
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritize workloads for yourself to accommodate changing demands within the team and service.

Person Specification

The person specification for this role includes:

  • Experience of using full range of IT/Patient administration systems.
  • Experience of patient administration work in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of NHS Service provision including the pathway of care.
  • Experience working in a similar role within a healthcare/hospital setting.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
