Position: Electrical and Mechanical Technician
Location:
Shrewsbury.
Salary:
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Working Hours:
Full-time, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Overview:
  • To enhance mechanical skills in the assembly, modification, and testing of company products according to both company and client specifications.
  • To adhere to the time management requirements associated with customer contracts and internal procedures.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction and support sales through the repair of equipment, whether on-site or at customer locations.
  • To offer service and operational best practices advice to clients and refurbish used machinery for optimal availability for resale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To execute the mechanical and electrical assembly, modification, and repair of company products to meet precise customer specifications.
  • To perform fault diagnosis on all company products, including engines (diesel and petrol) and associated components.
  • To disassemble various products, engines, and components, ensuring they are cleaned and prepared to the required standards for reassembly.
  • To replace necessary parts to guarantee that products are expertly repaired and restored to operational status.
  • To verify that all machine settings are accurate and that relevant testing is conducted prior to dispatch.
  • To communicate with clients to assist with service, warranty claims, repairs, and refurbishments of the company's equipment, maintaining clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • To conduct service and emergency calls at customer locations for all company products as needed.
  • To complete all necessary documentation (Production PDI, Engineer Service Reports) related to builds, repairs, and services in a timely manner.
  • To follow environmental best practices and ensure that spill kits are adequately stocked on-site and in service vehicles.
  • To assist in the delivery and collection of customer equipment.
  • To provide management with insights on all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering needs.
  • To maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
  • To participate in training sessions as required.
  • To regularly communicate with internal supervision regarding results, activities, progress, and issues, along with suggested solutions.

  • To ensure compliance with health and safety practices as they pertain to the company's operations.
  • To take responsibility for the security of your designated area.
  • To ensure the proper use and upkeep of all machinery, buildings, and equipment within your area.
  • To cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the department.
  • To undertake additional reasonable tasks as requested by production management and company directors.
