Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are currently in search of a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to enhance our dedicated maintenance team. This role is based at our operational site in Shropshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to equipment failures and ensure efficient repairs to minimize downtime while adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.
- Continuously enhance plant performance while prioritizing safety and reliability.
- Assist in the development and management of our Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Maintain and update documentation related to maintenance policies and procedures.
This position requires a shift pattern that includes days, nights, and weekends, with opportunities for overtime based on operational needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who possesses:
- A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Skills in fabrication and welding.
- A solid understanding of maintenance practices, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of database systems relevant to planned maintenance.
Additionally, a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications is essential.
