About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Team Leader to join our team at Talent Finder. As a Specialist Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and education to two young adults with autism, working closely with their family and a small team of support assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the care and educational support for the twins, developing and implementing personalized plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the family, support assistants, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support network.
  • Provide direct support to the twins, using positive behavior plans and strategies to promote their learning and development.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and programs to support the twins' education and care.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and professionals to progress learning and life opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidance on safeguarding, manual handling, health and safety, and GDPR.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young adults with autism, with a commitment to their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Patience, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Hold or working towards NVQ level 3 or more, with a commitment to career progression.
  • Experience in personal care and a valid full UK driver's license.
