As an integral part of the leadership team, reporting to the Home Manager, you will contribute to the smooth and effective administration of the Home on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to high standards of professional practice as mandated by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, while embodying the Christian values upheld by the Council for Social Witness.

In the absence of the Home Manager or Deputy Head, you will assume responsibility for all operational aspects of the Home and engage with all visitors, including family members and professionals.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge and experience in Care Planning
  • A solid understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults and their families
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance and monitoring standards
  • Awareness of the role of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority
  • A minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care, with a commitment to pursue Level 3
  • A willingness to work towards obtaining the NVQ/QCF Assessors Award
  • At least 2 years of experience in caring for older individuals, those with disabilities, or individuals with mental health challenges
  • Experience in the ordering, receiving, administering, and storage of medication
  • Flexibility in working hours, which may extend beyond the standard shift pattern
  • Commitment to maintaining registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, as required for this role
  • Willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
