Senior Care Support Specialist

Role Overview: As a Senior Care Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing care services, ensuring that the highest standards of support are delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements. Your commitment will focus on addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents, all while embodying the Christian values upheld by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement comprehensive Care Planning.
- Understand and address the needs of vulnerable adults and their families.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and monitoring protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of the role of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority.
- Possess a minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care, with a commitment to pursue Level 3.
- Work towards obtaining the NVQ/QCF Assessors Award.
- Bring at least 2 years of experience in caring for older individuals, those with disabilities, or mental health challenges.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, administering, and storage of medications.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including weekends, and potentially beyond standard shifts.
- Maintain registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council as required.
- Embrace and work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
