Senior Care Support Specialist

Role Overview:
The Senior Care Support Specialist will be accountable for leading and managing care services to ensure the utmost quality of support, adhering to all legal requirements to fulfill the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents, aligned with the Christian values of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Care Plans.
- Understand and address the needs of vulnerable individuals and their families.
- Monitor and uphold Quality Assurance standards.
- Familiarity with the functions of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority.
- Possess at least an NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care, with a commitment to progress towards Level 3.
- Be prepared to pursue an NVQ/QCF Assessors Award.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in caring for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, or those with mental health challenges.
- Experience in the management of medication, including ordering, receiving, administering, and storage.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends, which may extend beyond standard shifts.
- Maintain registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council as a requirement of this role.
- Embrace and work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
