Job Overview

The Lead Officer for Patient Systems Management will oversee the comprehensive administration of the Systems Management division within Patient Systems. This role necessitates collaboration with senior stakeholders and supplier account representatives to ensure swift resolution of issues. Close cooperation with Project and Programme Managers is crucial to maintain a thorough understanding of all initiatives related to clinical systems and their impact on the Patient Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver intricate clinical application support to service users through the most effective communication channels, including Teams, face-to-face, or telephone.
  • Oversee the overall work packages for the Systems Management division.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior supplier account representatives and conduct regular service review meetings to monitor progress and collaboratively address complex escalated issues.
  • Manage the Systems Management team, including performance evaluations and disciplinary matters.
  • Assist the Advanced Patient Systems Officer with complex inquiries.

Education and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient knowledge across various IM&T domains, obtained through a degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialized knowledge acquired through a postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Additional managerial expertise in a customer-focused IT environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in utilizing IT within healthcare settings.

Desirable Criteria

  • PRINCE 2 Foundation qualification in Project Management.

Skills and Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Effectively communicates complex IM&T and corporate matters to non-IM&T managers; negotiates with external organizations regarding service issues.
  • Analyzes intricate problems related to service matters; makes informed decisions regarding resource allocation for Patient Systems tasks.
  • Plans projects that have a cross-departmental and organizational impact, contributing to the medium-term IM&T strategy.
  • Implements IM&T policies and procedures within the department; proposes modifications and redesigns local IM&T policies and procedures that influence other areas.
  • Addresses staff and performance-related issues.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience working at a senior level within a customer-oriented service environment.
  • Experience collaborating with staff at all levels across multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with System C Careflow products.
  • Experience managing teams in a customer-focused IT environment.
  • Direct experience in updating and maintaining system security policies for all responsible systems.
