Job Overview

The Lead Patient Systems Coordinator will oversee the comprehensive management of the Systems Management team within Patient Systems. This role will involve collaboration with senior stakeholders and supplier account managers to ensure swift resolution of issues. Close cooperation with Project and Programme Managers will be vital to maintain a clear understanding of all initiatives related to clinical systems and their impact on the Patient Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical application support to service users utilizing the most effective communication methods, such as Teams, face-to-face interactions, or telephone.
  • Oversee the overall work packages for the Systems Management Team.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior supplier account managers and conduct regular service review meetings to monitor progress and collaboratively address complex escalated issues.
  • Manage the Systems Management team, including addressing staff performance and disciplinary matters.
  • Assist the Advanced Patient Systems Officer with intricate inquiries.

Education and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various IM&T domains acquired through a degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialized knowledge obtained through a postgraduate diploma or relevant experience.
  • Additional managerial expertise in a customer-focused IT environment.
  • In-depth understanding and experience of IT applications in healthcare settings.

Desirable Criteria

  • PRINCE 2 Foundation qualification in Project Management.

Skills and Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to communicate complex IM&T and corporate issues to non-IM&T managers; negotiate with external organizations regarding service matters.
  • Analyze intricate problems related to service issues; make informed decisions regarding resource allocation for Patient Systems work.
  • Plan projects that impact across departments and the organization, contributing to the medium-term IM&T strategy.
  • Implement IM&T policies and procedures within the area; propose changes and redesign local IM&T policies that affect other areas.
  • Address staff and performance-related issues effectively.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience working at a senior level within a customer-oriented service environment.
  • Experience collaborating with staff at all levels across multidisciplinary teams in various settings.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with System C Careflow products.
  • Experience managing teams in a customer-focused IT environment.
  • First-hand experience in updating and maintaining system security policies for all relevant systems.
