Job Title: Principal Civil and Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at Cavendish Nuclear. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.
  • Concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot, as well as producing hand calculations.
  • Prepare calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, inter-discipline design coordination, and supervision.
  • Management of project delivery, as well as people management of senior CS&A engineers and CS&A engineers.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
  • Essential experience of the Principal CS&A Engineer.
  • Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.
  • Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
