Adolescent Safeguarding Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of adolescents at risk of harm, working closely with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality interventions and support.
About the ServiceThe Adolescent Safeguarding Team is part of Achieving for Children's Family and Adolescents Directorate, delivering statutory social work to young people at risk of contextual harm. Our service is underpinned by the SHIFT UK practice model, which focuses on relationship-based, trauma-informed, and breaking the cycle approaches. As a member of our team, you will work closely with Police, Health, and Education colleagues to ensure a robust multi-agency response to young people.
Key Responsibilities- Represent AfC at operational multi-agency meetings and other relevant forums.
- Ensure high levels of quality interventions using AfC's social work practice model, Signs of Safety, agreed quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality support and interventions.
- Develop and lead a culture of partnership and innovation, ensuring services are child-focused, flexible, and adaptable.
To be considered for this role, you will need 2 years of post-qualified experience in a Children's team, ideally with Adolescent Safeguarding experience. You will be a skilled and experienced social worker with a strong understanding of the SHIFT UK practice model and the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency setting.
