Job Title: Children Safeguarding Team Manager

Remedy Social Work is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of social workers who deliver statutory social work services to vulnerable adolescents aged 13 to 18.

Job Purpose:

The Adolescent Safeguarding Team is part of Achieving for Children's Early Help service, which includes targeted and statutory services. The team's focus is on delivering statutory social work, from assessment to child in need or child protection plans, and court proceedings. The team requires skilled social workers who can engage with adolescents at risk of extra-familial harm and their parents/carers, wider partners, and specialist services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of social workers in delivering statutory social work services to vulnerable adolescents.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to engage with adolescents at risk of extra-familial harm and their parents/carers.
  3. Collaborate with wider partners, including the Police and Community Safety, to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  4. Manage and develop the team's skills and knowledge to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality services.
