Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Nurse to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Community Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to adults with substance misuse issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational leadership for the nursing team, including band 5 and band 4 nurses and administrative staff.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate packages of care based on individual service user needs.
  • Supervise and manage junior team members within your professional group and team locality.
  • Conduct assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and implement them in partnership with Open Road and other partners.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, referrals, reviews, and business planning.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Good standard of education.
  • Postgraduate qualification or commitment to work towards a non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Outlook.
  • Current UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
