Spire Healthcare is seeking a Junior Medical Administrative Assistant to become part of our dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves providing essential support to the medical administration team, ensuring a seamless secretarial and administrative service to our consultants, including the management of their financial practice accounts.

We welcome candidates with an administrative background who are eager to enhance their skills in a secretarial capacity, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Medical Administration team. Collaborate within the Outpatient Department to deliver a secretarial and administrative service to consultants. Accurately transcribe audio dictations, utilizing medical terminology for all correspondence to external stakeholders. Manage the private accounts of consultants, including invoicing, credit control, and maintaining an accurate payment tracking system. Work closely with various departments within the healthcare facility. Organize and oversee outpatient clinic documentation, ensuring all correspondence and results are readily available. Coordinate patient admissions by liaising with consultants and other departments. Handle telephone inquiries from patients, medical personnel, GPs, and other professionals, providing timely and courteous assistance. Ensure health insurance claim forms are completed accurately. Maintain a systematic filing system. Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Collaborate with Private Patient Advisors regarding self-funding patients. Work with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Perform additional tasks as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the department and facility. Address a variety of customer inquiries on a daily basis. Communicate with insurance companies on behalf of patients regarding consultant invoices. Ensure effective communication of booking schedules across the facility. Keep documentation current and up-to-date.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience in a similar role is preferred. RSA qualification in medical typing or medical word processing is advantageous but not mandatory. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial. Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Compliance with mandatory training requirements is essential. A customer-focused approach is crucial. High level of confidentiality is expected at all times. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Strong team player.
