Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team as a Wireless Estate Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Network Infrastructure support across a large client campus, with a primary focus on wireless estate management.
The role involves troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues on all networking infrastructure, configuring and deploying network equipment, and adhering to strict policies and processes around security and data protection.
Key Requirements- Proven extensive networking background, minimum 4 years experience
- Aruba / HPE Network accreditation minimum Professional
- Demonstrated ability to recognise and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership
- Knowledge of network equipment from the following vendors - Cisco, Nokia & HPE/Aruba
- Experience of IT incident management and operational delivery support
The successful candidate will have experience of HPE IMC and Solarwinds, as well as ITIL Service Management Foundation. They will also be required to work as part of an onsite team, providing close contact with the customer to ensure project deliverables.
Additional responsibilities include creating internal technical documents for the local team, completing passive or active wireless surveys, and risk ownership and escalation.
Working HoursThe role involves a 1:3 day shift rota, covering 7am to 7pm, with 1:3 oncall shifts which cover 7pm to 7am and weekend hours.
The salary for this role is £50-55k + benefits + oncall allowance, which works out to be about 23% extra.
