About the Role
As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to a child with SEMH needs within a welcoming primary school setting. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Building strong relationships with the child to foster trust and create a supportive environment.
- Implementing nurturing strategies to promote emotional well-being and social development.
- Assisting the child in accessing the curriculum, adapting activities as needed to meet their individual requirements.
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a holistic approach to the child's education and well-being.
- Monitoring and recording the child's progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are advantageous.
