Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Ofsted-graded 'Good' Secondary SEMH School in Lytham St Annes. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) in an alternative provision or PRU setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate resilience, patience and an ability to strike up rapport and develop relationships with SEMH pupils. The school have a fantastic record of developing and up-skilling their staff internally, with a number of current teaching staff having started their career in school as a teaching assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil within Year 9
- Develop relationships with SEMH pupils and support their academic and personal development
- Work closely with the teaching staff to implement clear routines and therapies to help re-engage students with the education system
