About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to provide tailored support to a child in Year 3 who has a Global Learning Delay. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individualized learning plans and provide a nurturing environment where the child feels supported and confident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with Global Learning Delay, focusing on personalized learning strategies.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where the child can thrive socially and academically.
  • Encourage the child's participation in classroom activities and help manage their progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SENCo to monitor and report on the child's development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN capacity.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • An understanding of Global Learning Delay or similar needs is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
