Automotive Quality Engineer at Spirax-Sarco Engineering

Role Overview: As an Automotive Quality Engineer, you will be entrusted with comprehensive APQP responsibilities for our automotive sector, ensuring seamless collaboration across various departments to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of essential quality tools, including Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, and SOPs.
  • Utilize your expertise to address customer complaints through thorough investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives, while managing 8D reports and maintaining effective customer communication.
  • Participate in FMEA reviews as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to action plans aimed at risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with the quality team to conduct internal, process, and product audits according to established schedules, and provide support during external audits as needed.
  • Engage directly with automotive clients, conducting site visits as required to foster strong relationships.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels to identify opportunities for overall enhancement.
  • Interpret relevant standards and regulations, ensuring the provision of necessary documentation and certifications.
  • Employ your leadership and project management skills to collaborate with production teams, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as a quality engineer within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in core quality tools.
  • Trained as an IATF 16949 internal auditor.
  • Experience in top-level contract reviews.
  • Background in engineering or manufacturing.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated integrity and teamwork.
  • Positive mindset and self-motivated.
