An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Physiotherapy Assistant within the Paediatric Physiotherapy service at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant will work with children and young people from the ages of 0 - 19, with varying conditions, in a variety of settings, including schools, nurseries, and community locations. The role will involve assisting Paediatric Physiotherapists in the treatment of children and young people.
Main Responsibilities- To assist Physiotherapists in the treatment of patients, working to defined protocols and treatment plans.
- To assist in the implementation of treatment programmes for individual children or groups of children.
- To work with Physiotherapists to improve the child's quality of life, aiming to achieve maximum functional ability and independence.
- To facilitate the arrangement of appointments, transport, and equipment ordering.
- To manage a caseload of non-complex children, with support from a qualified Physiotherapist to progress their treatment appropriately.
- To implement treatment programmes prescribed by qualified Physiotherapists.

Person Specification- NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Essence of Care.
- Previous experience in a relevant speciality.
