Support Worker Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated male Support Worker to provide full-time care for our client in South Shields. Our client has sustained a spinal injury, resulting in limited mobility and requiring 24/7 assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life by providing personalized support and promoting their independence.
Responsibilities & Duties- Provide comprehensive personal care, including catheter and bowel care (experience essential).
- Assist with moving and handling as required, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Offer practical assistance with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Support physiotherapy, gym sessions, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Care for our client's beloved staffy dog by feeding and walking it.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in bowel care is mandatory.
- Excellent spoken English language skills are required.
- Comfort around dogs and no dog allergies.
- A genuine commitment to providing long-term, person-centered care.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive training to CQC standards.
