Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at HomeCareDirect. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with a client who requires 24/7 support due to a spinal injury. You will be responsible for providing personal care, including catheter and bowel care, as well as assisting with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

You will also be required to administer medication, provide physiotherapy, and assist with rehabilitation techniques. Experience of bowel care is essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • At least 1 year's experience of bowel care
  • Excellent spoken English language skills
  • Confidence working with dogs and no dog allergies
  • Ability to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
  • Reliability, non-judgmental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £16.45, company pension scheme, enhanced bank holiday payments, and annual leave paid at 5.6 weeks (pro-rata) per annum. You will also receive full support and supervision from your dedicated Regional Care Lead, training and support from your local HCD Community Nurse Assessor, and career pathway options.
