Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at HomeCareDirect. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of physical and emotional stamina. You will be working with a client who has sustained a spinal injury and requires 24/7 support. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personal care, including catheter and bowel care, as well as assisting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year's experience of bowel care
  • Excellent spoken English language skills
  • Confidence working with dogs and no dog allergies
  • Ability to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
  • Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, caring nature, responsibility, and compassion
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
