As a Youth Support Specialist, you will be an enthusiastic and driven individual, demonstrating exceptional communication abilities and strong teamwork skills. Job Duties

This position requires candidates to be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a complex caseload and establish rapport with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders, effectively representing We Are With You to promote specialized treatment and support. The ability to motivate and engage individuals is crucial, along with the competence to assess and manage risks effectively. We seek a compassionate and driven individual with a remarkable talent for building meaningful relationships. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialized settings, particularly with young people, and possess knowledge of safeguarding and collaborative practices. You will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and manage your time efficiently while working as part of a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Attainment of ONC/NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide three years' worth of references and, where applicable, undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential due to the requirement for travel across the county.

Experience

Essential

  • To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
  • Demonstrable experience in training related to Child Protection, Safeguarding, and/or Children's Social Care.
  • Proven experience supporting young individuals concerning mental health and/or substance misuse.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including assessing clients in high-risk situations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment processes.
  • Resilience under pressure and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The capability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Proficiency in recording and maintaining accurate case details in a timely manner.
  • Strong IT skills alongside good oral and written communication abilities.
