Position Overview
The Community Inpatient Unit is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team.
Our facility is dedicated to assisting individuals in their recovery journey, helping them regain independence after experiencing illness, trauma, surgery, or other significant life events. We play a crucial role in facilitating hospital discharges, preventing unnecessary admissions, and promoting independent living through a collaborative approach involving a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive suite of administrative services that ensure the smooth operation of the Community Inpatient Unit. Your duties will include:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for visitors.
- Performing routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and managing electronic communications.
- Handling telephone inquiries and processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to create various documents, including letters, reports, and presentations as required.
You will receive ongoing supervision and support from the administrative lead within the unit.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2.
- Proficiency in computer applications at Level 2 or equivalent.
