About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Communications Officer to join our team at the MS Society. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in helping us to communicate our research findings and impact to a wide range of stakeholders, including the public, media, and researchers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote our research and its impact
  • Work closely with our research team to understand their findings and develop engaging content to share with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with our communications team to develop and implement a range of communication channels, including social media, press releases, and stakeholder reports
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, media, and the public
  • Develop and deliver training and support to our staff and volunteers on research communication and engagement
Requirements
  • Proven experience in research communication and engagement, preferably in a healthcare or scientific context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies and the ability to communicate complex research findings to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
