About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Communications Officer to join our team at the MS Society. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in helping us to communicate our research and science to a wide range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote our research and science to the public, media, and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our research team to understand their work and develop compelling stories and messages to share with our audiences.
  • Collaborate with our digital and engagement teams to create engaging content and campaigns that raise awareness of our research and science.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates.
  • Develop and maintain our research and science website content, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging.
  • Provide support and guidance to our research team on communication and media relations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in research communications, preferably in a healthcare or scientific organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
