Job Overview

King's College Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Management team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient management of medicines across our hospital sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist patient-focused technical pharmacy services to wards and clinics.
  • Assess suitability of patients' medicines on admission and discharge, ensuring accurate and timely supply.
  • Liaise with ward and pharmacy staff to facilitate the efficient transfer of medication and relevant information when patients move wards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, ward staff, general practitioners, community pharmacists, and other primary healthcare professionals to resolve queries and ensure accurate patient medication histories.
  • Support individual patient medication management issues, within own skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Significant experience post-registration relevant to hospital pharmacy practice with assessed competencies.
  • Ability to provide and receive complex information on medicines use, ward and dispensary services.
