Job Description

ZipRecruiter has partnered with a leading technology service provider to find a skilled 2nd line infrastructure support engineer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves providing 2nd line customer-facing and remote support, as well as internal IT support when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for helpdesk and incident management, PC and server configuration, firewall configuration and troubleshooting, and daily system checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line customer-facing and remote support structure.
  • Provide internal IT support when required.
  • Helpdesk and incident management.
  • PC and server configuration.
  • Firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Daily system checks including backup monitoring and reporting.
  • Proactively and reactively deliver technical support to clients as required to meet the demands of our clients and SLAs.
  • Maintain and update internal client documentation and log time and activities in a consistent and timely manner to allow client billing and business metric reporting.
  • Be part of the OOH rota.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be completed or risk being completed within agreed service levels.
  • Assist in delivering complex projects.
  • Manage, plan, and deliver non-complex projects.
  • Develop knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
  • Windows Server – Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP troubleshooting, and administration.

Requirements:

  • 2nd line infrastructure support experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
