About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Blood Production Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the processing and issuing of blood donations, ensuring that all blood components are safe and effective for use in treatments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process and issue blood donations to hospitals and other healthcare facilities
  • Monitor and maintain storage equipment to ensure optimal blood component quality
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of blood donations and components
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area or extensive experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment
  • Minimum of GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development
