About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Blood Production Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing and issuing of blood donations, as well as monitoring storage equipment. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and blood samples, and will be required to handle blood bags and other materials.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process and issue blood donations to hospitals
  • Monitor storage equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly
  • Handle blood bags and other materials
  • Work variable hours and days, including weekends and bank holidays

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area, or extensive experience in a manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environment
  • Minimum of GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development
