About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Blood Production Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the processing and issuing of blood donations, as well as monitoring storage equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process and issue blood donations to hospitals
  • Monitor and maintain storage equipment
  • Support and train less experienced staff
  • Perform precise and repetitive manipulation of equipment and blood samples/donations
  • Handle blood bags and equipment

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area or extensive experience in a manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environment
  • Minimum of GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development
  • Experience of working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing or laboratory environment
  • Experience of working with Information Technology such as Microsoft Office
