Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Blood Production Officer. As a key member of our blood processing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of blood donations.

Responsibilities:

* Process and issue blood donations to hospitals, working closely with your supervisor and other team members to ensure seamless operations
* Provide support and training to less experienced staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge
* Perform precise and repetitive tasks, such as manipulating equipment and blood samples, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Handle blood bags and equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures
* Work variable hours, including weekends and bank holidays, as per the roster

Requirements:

* A level 3 qualification, such as A levels or a national diploma, or extensive experience in a related field
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to work in a regulated environment, adhering to strict procedures and protocols
* Willingness to undertake further training and development

About You:

* Experience working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or laboratory environment would be an advantage
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
