Electrical Service Engineer in the Field

We are currently in search of an Electrical Service Engineer in the Field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Electrical Field Service tasks independently during maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics, collaborating effectively with mechanical service engineers, subcontractors, and shipyard personnel on-site.
  • Compile a comprehensive list of tools and materials required for assigned tasks.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop detailed work specifications, maintaining close communication with the Service Superintendent and Service Manager to meet service timelines.
  • Ensure timely submission of all timesheets (validated by the customer) and expense reports to the Service Administrator on a weekly basis.
  • After job completion, produce high-quality service reports and submit them within 48 hours.
  • Work with generator control systems and power management solutions.
  • Engage with customers on-site, addressing inquiries and technical questions.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager and clients to ensure adherence to service deadlines.
  • Mentor and train mechanical staff in fundamental electrical skills.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/2000 standards in all work performed.
  • Adhere to site safety regulations and comply with the Company's Health and Safety policies during all activities.
  • Maintain a positive and adaptable demeanor when assisting Company personnel with any additional tasks as required.
  • Carry out all responsibilities in a manner that maximizes satisfaction for both internal and external stakeholders, within the employee's control.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional duties as necessary, which may arise from changing circumstances, while maintaining the overall character and level of responsibility of the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering with a strong academic background.
  • Proficiency in engine control systems and the ability to develop gas tuning skills.
  • This position requires frequent travel; therefore, a valid driving license and flexibility regarding work locations are essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with workplace ICT tools and applications.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
