We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage Systems Specialist to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our Energy Storage and Optimization team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Field Service Activities: Perform field service activities according to the agreement needs and work plan, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Commissioning Support: Provide technical support for the commissioning of stationary battery energy storage systems and related equipment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical and operational problems at customer installations, reporting and proposing product improvement needs to ensure quality and cost targets are met.
- Customer Support: Participate in customer meetings as a local technical advisor, providing expert guidance and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create service work reports and other relevant documentation related to site or customer visits, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Electrical License: Must have a valid local electrical license, with the ability to work unsupervised and adhere to electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Location: Must be based in Fareham or willing to relocate, with relocation not applicable for internal employees.
- Energy Storage Systems Experience: 2-4 years' experience with energy storage systems and/or renewable energy, power systems design, and communication networks.
- PV Systems: In-depth knowledge of photovoltaic systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
- OPC Systems: Understanding of Open Platform Communications (OPC) systems, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Variable Frequency Drives: Knowledge of variable frequency drives, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Battery and Inverter Technology: In-depth knowledge of battery and inverter technology, including design, installation, and maintenance.
- Industrial Networks and Protocols: Familiarity with industrial networks and protocols, including Modbus TCP, Profibus, CAN-bus, CIP, Ethernet/IP, ControlNET, and others.
- Advanced Programming: Ability to program firewalls and routers, ensuring secure and efficient network operation.
- Protection Relays: Knowledge of protection relays, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- NEMA and IP Enclosure Designs: Familiarity with NEMA and IP enclosure designs, ensuring optimal protection and durability.
