Pure Insight offers a holistic suite of services aimed at supporting young individuals with care experience, ensuring they receive the highest quality assistance through a unified access point. This initiative is operational across multiple local authorities in Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Our approach addresses significant unmet needs by providing a dedicated service that offers consistent, long-term support, alongside specialized services such as mental health and employment assistance, which deliver intensive, time-sensitive aid during crises.
Role Responsibilities
As a Trustee, you will be instrumental in steering the charity's mission and influencing its trajectory. We seek a diverse Board enriched with various skills and experiences to promote effective governance and decision-making. Following a recent skills assessment, we are particularly keen on candidates with backgrounds in marketing and fundraising.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic leadership and direction for the organization.
- Assuming overall legal accountability for the charity's operations.
- Acting in the charity's best interests at all times.
- Contributing to the annual fundraising goals set for the Trustees.
- Delegating daily responsibilities to staff and volunteers.
- Making informed strategic decisions regarding the charity's future.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Supporting the manager, staff, and volunteers in their roles.
- Overseeing the charity's initiatives to ensure alignment with our mission.
- Maintaining and enhancing your skills and knowledge as a Trustee.
Candidate Profile

- A genuine passion for supporting young individuals with care experience.
- A readiness to dedicate the necessary time and effort to fulfill your responsibilities.
- An ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Integrity, innovative thinking, and sound independent judgment.
Board meetings are scheduled bi-monthly on weekdays, lasting approximately two hours. Trustees are expected to prepare by reviewing relevant reports and materials in advance. Opportunities for involvement in specific tasks or subcommittees may arise as needed.
