Pure Insight is dedicated to providing a holistic suite of services for young individuals with care experience, ensuring they receive the highest quality of support through a unified access point, facilitated by specialized voluntary sector organizations collaborating in formal partnerships. Our approach is currently operational in five local authorities across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Our service model addresses significant unmet needs, particularly the demand for a dedicated service that offers consistent, long-term support, as well as the absence of specialized services (such as mental health and employment support) that can deliver intensive, time-sensitive assistance during crises.
Role Responsibilities
As a Trustee, you will be instrumental in steering the charity's mission and influencing its future direction. We seek a diverse Board with a broad spectrum of skills and experiences to ensure strong governance and effective decision-making. Following a recent skills gap analysis, we are particularly keen to engage candidates with expertise in marketing and/or fundraising.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for the organization.
- Assuming overall legal responsibility for the charity's operations.
- Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
- Contributing to the Trustees' annual fundraising targets.
- Delegating daily operational tasks to staff and volunteers.
- Making strategic decisions regarding the charity's future.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Supporting the manager, staff, and volunteers in their roles.
- Overseeing the charity's activities to ensure alignment with our mission.
- Staying informed and enhancing your skills in your trustee role.

Board meetings are scheduled bi-monthly on weekdays during the day, lasting approximately two hours. Trustees are expected to prepare for meetings by reviewing relevant reports and financial updates in advance. Additionally, there may be opportunities to engage in specific tasks or subcommittees as required.
