Stockport, Stockport, United Kingdom PURE INSIGHT 1628 Full time
Position Overview

Pure Insight is dedicated to providing a holistic range of services for young individuals with care experience, ensuring they receive top-tier support through a unified access point. Our collaborative approach involves specialist voluntary sector organizations working in partnership across several local authorities.

Our operational model addresses significant unmet needs, particularly the demand for a singular, dedicated service that offers consistent, long-term assistance, alongside the necessity for specialized services (such as mental health and employment support) that deliver intensive, time-sensitive aid during crises.

Role Responsibilities

As a Trustee, you will be instrumental in steering the charity's initiatives and influencing its trajectory. We seek a diverse Board enriched with a variety of skills and experiences to ensure strong governance and effective decision-making. Following a skills gap analysis, we are particularly keen on candidates with backgrounds in marketing and/or fundraising.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and strategic direction for the organization.
  • Assuming overall legal accountability for the charity's operations.
  • Acting in the charity's best interests at all times.
  • Contributing to the annual fundraising targets set for the Trustees.
  • Delegating daily responsibilities to staff and volunteers.
  • Making strategic decisions that shape the charity's future.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Supporting the manager, staff, and volunteers in their roles.
  • Overseeing the charity's activities to ensure alignment with our mission.
  • Staying informed and enhancing your skills in your trustee capacity.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to the mission and objectives of Pure Insight.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young individuals with care experience.
  • A readiness to dedicate the necessary time and effort to fulfill trustee responsibilities.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Integrity, innovative thinking, and sound independent judgment.

Board meetings are scheduled bi-monthly on weekdays, lasting approximately two hours. Trustees are expected to prepare by reviewing relevant materials in advance. There may also be opportunities to participate in specific tasks or subcommittees as required.

Get Involved

If you are dedicated to making a positive impact and possess the skills and experience we are seeking, we encourage you to consider this opportunity with Pure Insight, where you can help us continue to provide exceptional support for young individuals with care experience.
