Role Details

We are currently seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is based in a healthcare facility, with a competitive starting salary contingent on experience, along with an on-call allowance. This is a full-time, permanent position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday. The role involves mobility across various locations within the designated area.

Qualifications Required

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC/City & Guilds, or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent craft training.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driving license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using technology for job logging is essential.
  • Availability for on-call duties.
  • Previous industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other technical teams.

Compliance and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant technical guidance, and statutory regulations.
  • Execute scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance tasks as directed, ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
  • Support minor works management activities as required.
  • Perform routine repairs or minor construction tasks, including joinery, painting, general building maintenance, and plumbing.
  • Maintain accurate site logbooks at all NHS premises as necessary.
  • Assist the Projects/Construction team in delivering minor capital works.
  • Conduct risk assessments prior to undertaking tasks and follow instructions within relevant work plans.
