About the Role: Alexander James Recruiting is collaborating with a prominent dealer in the material handling sector, seeking to appoint a new Service Technician to maintain a growing fleet of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance and repair services for a diverse range of forklift trucks.
  • Address issues with related material handling and specialized equipment, including access and pallet trucks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company during site visits.
  • Occasionally attend the workshop and be available for on-call duties as needed.

Candidate Profile: While experience in the material handling industry is preferred, candidates with backgrounds in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles, or other sectors with a strong focus on hydraulics and mechanics are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary, with potential earnings up to £42,000 based on experience.
  • Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
  • Overtime opportunities available, compensated at time and a half for the first four hours and double time thereafter.
