Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess recognized electrical qualifications and have completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training. A background in either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance is essential. The successful applicant will have relevant industry experience and will be expected to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to assist NHS Property Services in maintaining and repairing building services across the NHS. This is crucial to ensure that facilities are upheld to the highest standards, providing a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.

Role Details

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This position is based in a designated area and offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, along with an on-call allowance. This is a full-time role, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications Required

  • BTEC City & Guilds or equivalent experience and training.
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • Formal apprenticeship or craft training with Approved Electrician status.
  • Current qualification to the latest standard of BS 7671 City & Guilds.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driving license is essential.
  • Proficiency in using technology for job logging is required.
  • Availability for on-call duties.
  • Previous industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and wellbeing policies.
  • Implement new or revised practices and policies within your work area.
  • Deliver scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance services as directed.
  • Conduct fault finding, minor repairs, and installations in critical environments.
  • Assess problems and determine the best course of action, effectively communicating technical information to various stakeholders.
