Forensic Psychologist Opportunity at HMP Ashfield

Are you a qualified Forensic Psychologist looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Forensic Psychologist to join our team at HMP Ashfield in Bristol.

About the Role

We are seeking a Forensic Psychologist to deliver psychological services to prisoners, including completing psychological assessments, parole reports, and individual work. You will also be responsible for managing and supervising forensic psychologists-in-training and programmes staff, conducting research, and consulting with other prison staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete psychological assessments, including HCR-20, SARA, WAIS, IPDE, and PCL-R
  2. Complete parole reports and directions
  3. Undertake psychological assessments of prisoners and individual work, fostering a safe and rehabilitative environment
  4. Manage and supervise forensic psychologists-in-training and programmes staff
  5. Conduct research and consult with other prison staff
  6. Make decisions regarding suitability of candidates for accredited interventions
  7. Provide staff training
  8. Ensure all activities adhere to the Code of Conduct of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
Requirements

We welcome applicants who are close to qualification or already registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A qualified Forensic Psychologist registered with HCPC is desirable.
